Udhagamandalam, shortly called as Ooty is a Popular Hill-Station located in the State of Tamil Nadu in Southern Part of India(South India). Ooty is located at a height of 7,347 feet above Sea-Level in the Nilagiri Mountain Range. Ooty was founded in the 19th Century, serves as the Summer Head quarters of the Madras Presidency at the time of British rule in India.

The NMR( Toy train), leaves Metutupalayam at 7.10 and the journey takes about 5.30 hours to reach ooty( By bus, the journey is just about 2 hours). The steam train takes a very scenic route and makes an ideal way of Journey to reach Ooty. There are Buses and taxis that can be boarded from most parts of South-India to Ooty. The nearest Airport is Coimbatore. The 3.30 hours Road journey from Coimbatore to Ooty is quiet Scenic.
